Easter Table

For Easter, I teamed up with my mom to create a beautiful festive table. I created the food items, while my amazing and talented mom made to table. I just love the way the wood adds a touch od realism to the entire display. I think it really accents the pink legs and the decorations.

Cupcakes with delicious chocolate candy coated eggs on a cake stand next to a beautiful  Easter picture

Vanilla frosted lamb cake on a bed of grass, decorated with chocolate candy coated eggs. The extra chocolates are in the bowl next to the cake.

A sweet little Easter basket filled with must have delights - Easter mints, a pink and white lollipop, and a white chocolate Easter rabbit!
This delightful little table is for sale on my Etsy shop! Click the link below to view and/or purchase it!

Blueberry Pie, shortbread cookies, and fresh baked biscuits.
Again the blueberry pie, as well as a beautiful blueberry cobbler.

Jars of candies, a covered cake, more cobbler, as well as a whole case full of sweets.
Delicious chocolate frosted donuts, and three types of cupcakes. Yum!

The magic is happening here in the kitchen! The smell of fresh cupcakes will soon fill the bakery.

Easter Baskets

This year for Easter, I decided to translate the joy and excitement of the Easter bunny into miniature! I created several beautiful baskets filled with candy treats and chocolate rabbits. Enjoy!

Don't the miniature candies and white chocolate rabbit make you want to go eat some yourself? I know they make me hungry!

All of these baskets are available for sale in my Etsy shop! Visit the link below to view and purchase them!

Seuss!!!

I just finished up performing in Seussical The Musical!  at Village Theater. Inspired by the many colorful characters, I set to work recreating many of them in miniature. Surprisingly, my sculptures turned out satisfactory to me, but you can decide for yourselves!

This is my interpretation of Mrs. Mayor, from the book "Horton Hears a  Who"

Mr. Mayor
Jojo, the Mayors Son and the smallest of small.

Thing from "The Cat in the Hat"

The Lorax

Cindy Lou Who

The Cat in the Hat

The Fox in Sox

The Sneeches
As you can see, I've been hard at work. Each individual sculpture is made from polymer clay, and took at least one hour to complete.

My First Dollhouse

Today, while perusing my blog, I realized I never showed you the very first dollhouse I made with my mother. When I became home schooled in fourth grade, we were studying the pioneers and the westward expansion during the 1800s. One of my focuses was Little House on the Prairie. In an effort to make history come to life, my mom and I decided to create a historically accurate cabin from the books. Well, enough talk! Here are some pictures:

Rabbit Barn

Hey! So, I've been hard at work making many different dollhouses, one of which is a miniature 4-H barn replica. My adorable creation is modeled after the many real 4-H shows I've gone to with my rabbits. Here are some pictures:

This little girl with pink cotton candy is one of my favorite parts of the dollhouse.

Believe it or not, each individual rabbit I hand painted to look like a specific breed. It took awhile! :)

This is probably one of my favorite dollhouses just because it reminds me of one of my favorite activities - competing with my bunnies!

Finished Medieval Shops!!!!

Here are pictures of my finally finished Medieval Shops!
This is a big picture of the outside of the house.

This is the outside of the fish monger. Hanging on the far left are some stringed rainbow fish. On the counter are some large river fish, crawdads, more piled rainbow fish, a basket of trout, a barrel of mackerels, and a barrel of eels.

This is the outside of my butcher. Hanging up from left to right is a goose, sausages, a rabbit, a pig, a pheasant, more sausages, and a ham. On the counter from left to right is a leg of lamb, some roast pigeons, and a pig head.

Here is a picture of my vegetable cart. Inside it, there are numerous different types of vegetables. Every thing, including the cart, was handmade by myself. Unbelievably, this small cart alone took me at least 10 hours of labor.

These are my medieval stocks. They were used in medieval times for a punishment.
This is the front window of my bakery. From left to right are some light braided rolls, some medium trenchers, a mixture of light and dark loafs, and some large round light loafs.
This is the outside of my bakery again. In the bottom left corner, there is an ale barrel.

This is a picture of the entire inside of the building.

This is the inside of the fish monger. On the table there is an ale jug and a fish having it's head chopped off.
Here is a good shot of the fishing spears and nets.
This is the loft of the fish monger.

This is the inside of the butcher.

This is the bottom floor of the butcher. On the left side, there is a giant oven with a pig roasting on a spit, some roasting sausages, a pork roast in the oven, and another roasting pheasant. On the ground is a chicken which will soon be brought upstairs for slaughter.
This is the upper floor of the butcher. On the table, there is a goose having its head chopped off, and a candle. On the bench there is a sack of freshly killed game, and a jar. On the stool, there is a medieval brazier (bra-zee-ay), which was a tiny fire place upstairs. On the hook against the right wall, from left to right, there is a ham, sausages, a pheasant, a rabbit, and more sausages.

On the left wall, there is a bread oven made by my mother. On the right, there is a small table where the baker makes bread. In the bottom right corner, a small bread paddle, used for removing the baked loaves and hand made by me, can be seen.

This is the upstairs of my bakery. On the table in the corner, there is a book and a candle. In the middle, there is a small mattress stuffed with hay. Next to the mattress is a small pot for boiling water. Next to that is a small wooden stool.

So, as you can see, a lot of work went into this house. With this medieval row of shops, I have the possibility of winning $500. Unfortunately, I won't know if I've won until August. Please cross your fingers for me! Bye!
